Dr. Jason A. Mitchell, affectionately known as Pastor J, is an anointed man of God that has a heart for God’s people. General leadership skills were evident at an early age. This natural gift advanced into development as he assumed various roles throughout school such as Senior Class President (Hamilton High), West TN Vice President (Health Occupation Students of America), SGA President (LeMoyne-Owen College), Co-founder of Saved Apostles Living-Out Truth (S.A.L.T. Campus Ministry) and Beta Xi Chapter President (Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.). Little did he know that these leadership appointments were preparation for a greater assignment.

Pastor J accepted the Call to Preach in the summer of 2003. Soon after the journey of ministry began, on September 19th, 2004, he preached his first sermon (“Will The Real Saints Please Stand Up”) at Liberty Church of God in Christ. He was later licensed to preach on April 3rd, 2005 by Pastor William S. Wright and Ordained an Elder in the Church of God in Christ by Bishop Felton Smith on August 17th, 2009 during the 1st Ordination Class of the TN Southwest Fellowship Convocation. As a young man, God has opened many doors for Pastor Jason that has afforded him the opportunity to teach and preach for multiple denominations. Among those platforms; he has delivered the Word of God at Men’s Conferences, Youth Workshops, Ministerial Trainings, Pastoral Anniversaries, Bible Studies, Revivals, and so much more. It is by the grace and favor of God that so many doors have opened in order for this young man to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor J is a goal oriented-visionary with many educational accomplishments. He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration Management Degree from LeMoyne-Owen College. His first Masters Degree (Arts and Religion) came from Memphis Theological Seminary. The second Masters Degree (MBA) came from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York. On May 23rd, 2014, Pastor J earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

As the Founder of Perfecting Love Community Church, Pastor Jason Antwan Mitchell is dedicated to serving God’s people the infallible written Word of God while remaining a man of Character, Values, Ethics, Integrity, and Humility.
