Sharonda K. Mitchell is an anointed young woman of God that has a heart for people, especially kids and teenagers. Her journey in ministry began at the age of 4 when she sang her first solo; accompanied by her brother, Gary, at age 6. Since then, this uniquely gifted vocalist has developed into one of God’s most gifted psalmists and songwriters.
Lady Sharonda has traveled all over spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song in which she has been the featured guest at Women’s Conferences, Revivals, Church Anniversaries, Pastoral Anniversaries, & Retreats. She has also had the great pleasure of working with some of the most gifted National Artists such as Lamar Campbell, Darwin Hobbs, and Sheri Jones-Moffett, and currently travels with Pastor Smokie Norful doing what she loves to do. It is no secret that Lady Sharonda’s passion is Praise and Worship. She has served as the Praise and Worship Leader for Mississippi Blvd Christian Church, First Baptist Broad, and served Liberty C.O.G.I.C. in many aspects of Ministry. Lady Sharonda is very aware of the fact that it was nobody but God that has elevated her ministry.
Lady Sharonda is not only inspired and called by God spiritually, she is also qualified academically. With a Bachelor’s Degree from LeMoyne-Owen College in Social Science (Minor in Psychology and Music) as well as a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Administration (HRM); and completion of the Teacher Education Program at the University of Memphis, she is very well educated. “Learning is lifelong; and without training, skills go undeveloped,” says Lady Sharonda. This is proven because she continued to learn by completing 3 years of Urban Youth Ministry training and a Discipleship program through Downline Ministry Institute. She has spent many years working for several non-profit agents such as Agape Child and Family Services, Urban Youth Initiative, and Porter-Leath Children Center. In addition, she has also worked for Memphis City Schools as a 7th and 8th Educator. During her time in the classroom, it is no secret that her gifts and talents helped her obtain several awards and recognitions; including front cover article of “The Tennessean” (Nashville, TN ~ Newspaper). The experiences that Lady Sharonda has obtained through the years have helped her to demonstrate that with God all things are possible. She has been able to touch so many people both young and old by spreading the Word of God through her natural gift to love.
Dr. Jason & Lady Sharonda Mitchell were united in marriage on April 28, 2007. They are the proud parents of little Miss Jade Sharee Mitchell.
